Neural Mechanism in Human Brain Activity During Weight lifting
In this project, we investigated the changing pattern in EEG and analyzed the different features in EEG data during the lifting of different weights.
Experimental paradigm was designed to achieve the project goals. Hardware and software were realized for data acquisition according to experimental paradigm. First set of EEG dataset from 20 participants was recorded during weightlifting by using commercial EEG head cap with 32 active electrodes positioned according to the 10–20 international system. Moreover, second set of EEG dataset from 10 participants was recorded by using an open-source EEG hardware platform with 14 active electrodes positioned according to the 10–20 international system. Acquiring data, software codes for signal pre-processing, feature extraction, feature selection, machine learning and deep learning based classification of the data were produced.
