dAIEDGE planned activities will be carried out along a 36-month project. Along this period, we will engage 30 third-party projects to foster mobility and research exchange and perform industrial research projects. This will be achieved through the publication of 3 Open Calls each of which with specific tracks with the following objectives:
1. Research stream: dAIEDGE Exchange Programmes Open Call to select up to 10 beneficiaries (Researchers of PhD students) This is aimed at research visit to a hosting organisation within dAIEDGE members.
2. Industry Stream: 2 Open Calls for Collaborative Projects, to select up to 20 third party Collaborative Projects to solve the Industrial Challenges defined by the dAIEDGE Consortium, with the possibility of using resources from the dAIEDGE Virtual Lab or adding new resources to it.

The dAIEDGE project includes three Open Calls to foster collaboration with external third parties:

  1. Exchange Program Open Call, for Researchers or PhD students to perform common research in the field of AI at the edge, at one of the dAIEDGE Hosting Institutions for up to 7 months.
  2. Collaborative Projects: Two Open Calls for third-party organizations to propose and implement AI solutions, with financial and technical support provided by dAIEDGE partners.

These Open Calls aim to expand the dAIEDGE network, support innovation, and promote practical AI applications. The selection process involves expert evaluation to ensure scientific and industrial relevance and a fair and compliant process.
